Kicker CVR's in Durango on the DB Meter

My 2 12 inch Kicker CVR's in my Durango with 800 watts RMS and 1000 watts peak Visonik amp. I know it is not the loudest system out there but it is pretty darn loud. It shakes the windows in my house when it is pretty far away from the house. The DB Meter is a Scosche SPL1000. Just a cheap meter but seems to work well.

What's the ultimate sport? Would you believe me if I told you it's Frisbee? USA Ultimate is the organizing body for competitive Frisbee in North America. This spring more than 12000 student athletes from more than 700 college teams entered their College Championship series. We were at the Metro East D-1 and D-3 Regionals to find out what competitive Frisbee is all about. The college spirit is topping out the decibel meter at the Metro East Ultimate Frisbee Regional tournaments. A pull is what they call the throw off used to start play and after scores. The action is a cross between football and basketball, with self-officiating of tennis thrown in for good sportsmanship. The first day of the tournaments has pool play with each team plays every other one in the event. There is no game clock, first team to 15 wins. Connecticut College came out fast against Marist in a contest between two nationally ranked teams. With nine teams, this D-3 division is more competitive that their D-1 counterpart which only has five. Conn scored early and often, but Marist used their big bomb threat to keep it close. The long pass in Ultimate is called a huck. Conn led by only 2 at the half, but Marist appeared shaken. A confident Connecticut seven took the field for the second half. Their clean, crisp disk handling got Marist wondering and muttering to themselves. They made too many mistakes and Conn capitalized on them to pull away to a 15-7 victory. Lomax and Calvert Street Siren in Easton, MD tops 100 decibels in December 5, 2009 Test

This is the first siren video shot since acquiring a sound level meter. It was recorded during a weekly test of the Talbot County Emergency Management Imminent Danger Signal (30 seconds) followed by the All Clear signal. During the test this particular air raid type siren fluctuated between 94 and 102 decibels. This is the fourth siren mounted on a pole that we have documented in Easton. Three face neighborhoods and one is located at the actual fire station (which also borders a couple of neighborhoods). Two minutes of rising and falling sirens is used to summon the local volunteer fire department which responded to over 1000 calls in 2008. That 2000 minutes of 100 decibel sirens each year for these neighborhoods

Demo of the THD hotplate with a Bruel & Kjaer 2250 Sound level meter. I stood outside the room to try and minimise the string noise being picked up by the very sensitive sound level meter and the mic. if you're planning on getting one of these with the intention of cranking your amps volume and then squashing it down to whisper/bedroom levels...be prepared to be SEVERELY dissapointed,(the fizz you hear is in part to the speakers not being able to move efficient amount of air.) but used sparingly (ie -4db to -8db) this can be a very useful tool to get your amp closer to that "Sweet" spot. also...believe it or not...in my 15+ years of guitar playing, this was the very first time ive played these AC/DC chords!!! (so its prob wrong in the transitions)
